The Legend of Pip: Lizard Hunter, Shop Supervisor & Fan Favorite

If you’ve stopped by the shop recently, chances are you’ve already been greeted by our real boss. Meet Pip, our resident shop cat! Pip is a handsome orange and white tabby who came to us as a stray from a local shelter, but he carries a legendary title. He’s named after the famous character “Pip” of Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings fame—and he definitely lives up to the epic legacy!

Pip is absolutely fearless, ruling the shop with an iron paw… well, until someone fires up the air gun, which always prompts a very strategic, high-speed retreat. When he’s off the clock, you can find him exploring his kingdom out back, where he holds the undisputed title of Champion Lizard Catcher. In fact, we know a lot of our amazing customers make it a point to come to the shop just to visit Pip, and honestly, we don’t blame you!

Lately, Pip has been heavily involved (mostly via napping and “sniff-testing”) in all of our recent custom builds. He personally inspected the reclaimed vat wood we used for the Four Roses flight trays, kept a very close eye on the intricate details of The Raven Inlay custom table, and strongly considered making the beautiful Walnut River Table his permanent bed. 🤫 SNEAK PEEK! Pip is already resting up for our next big undertaking. We are thrilled to announce that we’re starting a project to help build another tasting room! This upcoming space will feature gorgeous custom shadow boxes and specialized custom lighting to bring it all to life.
